Dear Members, 

Since my last letter, I would like to update you on the progress we are making for preparations for probably the greatest golfing event our Club has witnessed in all its history.

I am delighted to inform you that through the efforts of the Empowered Core Group set up for this tournament, we have a total of 26 sponsors who have come up at different levels to support our marquee tournament and you will soon see their names and boards being put up at many locations.

55 top professionals from the merit list of the Asian Tour have confirmed their participation as well as the top from the PGTI merit list. You can therefore expect to seem some fantastic golf. We are eagerly looking forward to see how they perform on our renovated Lodhi Course.

It is our intent to bring the course up to pristine condition and no effort is being spared by our greens and course staff to achieve it.

Our PR agency employed specifically for the tournament is coming up to speed and you will soon start seeing many press reports leading up to the event. Yesterday there was an article on Veer Alhawat the new wonder lad from Gurugram who is having a great run on the tour. Some more interesting pieces are on the way.

Gary Player the legendry golfer and nine times a major champion will be arriving on the 21^st and 22^nd onwards he will be spending a lot of time in the Club interacting with us all.

23^rd is a Pro-am for sponsors only. However, on Monday 28^th March we have planned to hold a Am-Am tournament for our members which will be limited to 320 players as that is all we can accommodate in one day. The course conditions and pin positions will be the same as the Pros played on the final round and hence this promises to be a very interesting day.

The Swimming Pool area is being converted into a FanZone where we have planned to have a large LED display screen to witness the play, some food and beverage stalls and a golf simulator enabling you to play some international courses as well while the Pros struggle on our Lodhi Course!

We have also decided to give away by lucky draw, prepaid cards of value Rs 1000 each, to 200 lucky members. These cards can be used for F&B during the tournament days only.

Secondly a Smartphone photo contest amongst members, where the winner by lucky draw will receive an attractive prize.

Details of both these schemes will be conveyed to you by club management. I urge you to participate in both.

Due to all the preparation which is underway, regrettably the Course has had to be shut for two weeks and for this reason, the Club will be reimbursing green fees up to Rs 6000 when you have played on other courses in the NCR. I am sure you will understand and we regret the inconvenience.

At the end of the day, it is our intent to make you feel proud of your Club and therefore all efforts are being made to make this a memorable experience for all.
