The 8th is the only par 5 on the course. Barely making its par 5 stipulated yardage at 472 yards from the back tee this is a calculated golf hole design. From the tee a small hillock blinds partial view of the fairway and fairway bunkers which are placed to trap a pushed drive. Aim a moderate left centre on this tee shot to help the slopes bring the ball back to the centre of the fairway. The green is accessible to long hitters in two shots through its right side as the left half of the green is dominated by fairway and greenside bunkers. Playing short of the fairway bunkers and pitching on from 50 to 70 yards to a relatively large sloping green seems the best way to tackle the hole for consistent scores. Three putting is common on this back to front sloping green.
